Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2011 PREVIEW

One of our latest projects: Our Victoria's Secret PINK dog mirror balls make their appearance in this youtube video at 4:19 in.

We made a total of 8 dogs at 3ft long each. We then scored the internet for pink glass tile suppliers and cleaned up everything out there. Yes folks, there are NO MORE pink glass tiles available.

This was a great and challenging project to say the least, as there were the usual delays that happen when you take on not only a custom project, but a prestigious one as well. Everything had to be spot on to Victoria's Secret Pink Brand. The usual multitude of emails, texts and conference calls between our shop, the local production studio and the VS France office took place. Once we were off and running with our sculptures, we needed to find the pink glass mirror tiles and as mentioned above, there were not many out there and all needed to be special ordered and cut to our specifications.

Those tiles then needed to be overnighted, or we would not be able to cover our sculptures in time.

(can anyone say $3,000 in overnight shipping fees?.... those boxes were HEAVY)

The sculptures took 3 days to complete. It took another 6 very long days to completely cover each dog in mirror tile and as we neared the end of the very last dog, there were four of us who each took on one leg of the dog in order to finish up this past Sunday night (Nov 6) at 10:00pm in order to delivery them for instal the next day Monday Nov 7th. - The VSFashion show taped on the 9th, and the rest is Fashion History!

YAY!!! Our Jaws Shark Prop was revealed for Harper's Bazaar!!

Making this prop was super fun, especially after Joe's viral Shark Baby Bed. It's been Shark Week all winter long for us! It's never too cold to swim with the fish, regardless of their size. Top Secret Project - Episode 2

If you were to Google "Custom Creations", you would find that we excel in oversized props, 3D styrofoam sculpture and black light miniature golf to name but a few of our abilities. (BTW, we also have the ability to walk through walls and doors...shhhhhhh!) Google Nexus One pricing and launch date leak

Technology blogs are awash with rumours about Google's forthcoming Nexus One handset. HOLY COW!!! January 5th is the day that is announced! Talk about starting off the year with a bang! Here at Custom Creations, we couldn't be any happier. Truth be told, the biggest reason is that we are a big supporter of Google, especially since they are a big supporter of Custom Creations. Those who are familiar with our work and this blog, know that we had been hired by Google to build the varied over sized props that adorn the Google HQ in Mountain View CA. those props include the 13' tall Android, the 8' tall cupcake, 8' diameter Donut and 10' long Eclair.
