OUR LATEST ART SHOW with ArtbyOmar was a Splash!    THEMENDOUS is getting involved with more and more galleries and artists in the New York Scene.  A few weeks ago, we participated in a group art show by Art by Omar. Omar O. is a NYC based photographer who is curating his own art shows, or POP Up Galleries on the lower east side, aka Down East. Contact him via the email link above to participate and show off some art of your own! Everyone from painters, photographers, digital artists, and sculptors are welcome to participate.  But act soon, for the next show is on October 19th and 20th at Lumiere's on 3rd street between ave A and B! Which by the way, has the most fantastic food and a great atmosphere.   This beautiful model with striking blue lips rocked our favorite picture of the night!!  Above is Giovanni's "Selfie" in backlight paint of course!!  In regular light you can actually see Gio's face!  And I do not just mean his face...

HOHOHO!!! Christmas Time is Near!! And we are busy, busy, busy building Santa's New Sleigh!!    Can't you hear those sleigh bells jingling!! Our full fabrication is almost complete!  Can't wait to see this baby hit the street!  Full engine and all, this VW Bug Conversion will make one sweet ride. Our Tremendous Themimg Crew has been working day and night to complete Santa's new whip!!!  As soon as the base casshi of the car, in its raw form, arrived at the shop, we have been welding and sculpting away like little elves until all the pieces fit just right.   These reindeer where a fun challenge to sculpt but nothing that THEMENDOUS could not handle!! Joe and Eddy rocked the form and texture to the tee, but a lot of hard work was involved.  Soon they will be leading the sleigh down the local roads of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for Fee Hendrick Family Entertainment . This vehicle is going to be the star of the...

My little cousin Vincenzo stops by for a job interview. He was hired on the spot. But if this video is being viewed by some government labor official ... NO he was not. I'm kidding. On the part about hiring him, not the part of his stopping by. or am I ? After all, this is Sculptor Secrets.

Sometimes we go on supply runs with so many things to buy that you tend to forget something, like where we parked the van or where I left my glasses. or simply....... wait, what was I talking about ???

I can't believe we NEVER posted this video!!! Back in February of 2009, we were contacted by Nestle Corp, who owns the Wonka Experience (Willy Wonka Chocolate), to build an oversized version of Willy Wonka's hat.  Who else would they turn to other than the "King of Huge", aka: US: Custom Creations! Here is the video which can also be found on our Youtube channel: "giocal"  Enjoy, and eat some Wonka bars!

Our good buddy Luc has graced us with these funny vids making fun of....well...ME. I love it! I hope that it will open the flood gates to other similar videos from other viewers and fans. SO don't be shy, go ahead and submit your own "Gio here, from Custom Creations" videos! Lets see whatcha got!

Let's jump into the way back machine and take a look at what we were doing in 2006... (wavy screen) The 2006 year for Custom Creations has already proven packed with great news! The year started off with an overseas project to Montego Bay Jamaica, where we were contracted to design and build Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville! The completion of that project spun off to 2 other locations in Turks/Caicos and Grand Cayman. Jimmy himself was one happy camper! Then came our greatest creation ever, the birth of our son Dante and after a number of other projects; the design and build of "KRAZY CITY" the newest Family Fun Center located at the Palisades Mall in Nyack, New York. Custom Creations was approached by company owners during the November IAAPA show to come up with eye catching designs, theming and signage for their new 28,000 sq ft state of the art facility. Custom Creations worked hand in hand with the architect, contractors and client and produced an amazing ...

So we are here at Vegas baby, (FunExpo) and of course, nothing ever goes smoothly...

To say we're a little busy would be an understatement. We're putting the final touches on our incredible display for this year's IALEI exhibit and Gio's been in front of the mirror practicing his acceptance speech and combing out that damned beard he's been growing. Our top secret project that includes centaurs, minotaurs and skeletons is moving along at a rapid fire pace while we're designing another lasermaze. In the meantime, Maritza figured out how to make the blog look snappy but not how to widen the inside column (suggestions appreciated). Here's a couple of links to some sites that may help you sound pretty smart next time you go golfing: http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/18282 http://www.mgaus.org/history_of_miniature_golf.htm Just remember the answer to this question: "Who makes the coolest, most awesomest outdoor and indoor blacklight mini golf props in the world?" Answer: Custom Creations!

UNION CITY, NJ – Busier than ever, Custom Creations had some great successes and fantastic projects completed and the month isn't even over! We completed a 20 foot tall Bugdroid for the folks at Google in San Francisco. The Bugdroid is a huge hit and is part of a marketing campaign for the launch of Google's G1 Android phone. With less than a week to fabricate and ship, it was all hands on deck working around the clock and we got it done and out the door! “Giovanni, you and your team did an incredible job – against all odds and a crazy, unrealistic schedule. You rocked!” -- Andy Rubin Director of Mobile Platforms “Thanks again. Fantastic work! Kudos to your team! We've been trying to keep this a secret. It's going to blow people's minds when they see it. It will definitely tip our launch celebration over the top. Your efforts are much appreciated.” --Jeff Yaksick Lead Interface Designer We do indeed, rock. A little closer to home, we just had our balls pol...

We do a great variety of work at the shop. From glow in the dark mini golf to fine art sculptures and reproduction, we do it all. Here's Gina with her recently completed clay reproduction of a panel insert from the Arc De Triomphe. Completely hand sculpted, it's a true work of art.

Dr. Glow wishes everyone a happy weekend!
